Hendra horse died suddenly

A vigilant vet may have saved a horse owner from contracting the potentially fatal Hendra virus, following an outbreak in north Queensland.
A horse died from the bat-borne virus south of Townsville on Tuesday and the property has been quarantined.
Four people, including the vet, are undergoing tests to determine if they have contracted the virus, which has claimed four lives since 1994.
