I-40 in both directions in Williamson County is closed after a tractor-trailer overturned.
The tractor-trailer overturned about 5:15 p.m. on the westbound lanes near the Fairview exit. The truck was carrying horses.
According to the THP, 36 horses are still in the trailer. It is not known how many may be loose in the area.
A second accident occurred on the eastbound lanes in Dickson County near the Dickson-Willamson county line.
Tennessee Highway Patrol officials were directing traffic off I-40 at McCrory Lane.
There were no injuries in the accident involving the tractor-trailer.
