The goal is rescuing horses; the group is a tiny outfit in Snellville spearheaded by one woman and a handful of volunteers.

But they go a long way with the resources they have.

"There was this one horse who was gorgeous," said Petal Warner, founder of The Bridge Between Inc., "and we went over and said, 'We'll take her from you; what'll you take?' And it was 50 bucks.

Warner is talking about Annie, a horse that Bridge Between group saved from the slaughterhouse and brought their farm in Snellville.
